HOUSEHOLD WASTE MANAGEMENT
With our robust infrastructure, technical expertise, and environmentally conscious approach, we continue to provide sustainable solutions for household waste management.
Household Waste Management
At our Class 2 Sanitary Landfill site, we safely dispose of approximately 2,000 tons/day of municipal waste arriving from district municipalities within Kocaeli province and various industrial facilities.
We dispose of municipal waste securely in leak-proof landfill areas and collect the resulting leachate through a drainage system, treating it at our wastewater treatment plant. Landfill gas generated at the site is captured through gas chimneys and converted into electricity at our Landfill Gas Power Generation Facility.
We continuously monitor all our processes using environmental monitoring methods and work tirelessly for a cleaner environment.
Biomethanisation
In our pioneering role in alternative energy sources, we utilize plant and animal waste from across the city at our biogas production facility with a capacity of 30 tons/day.
Grass clippings collected from municipal parks and gardens, vegetable and fruit waste from local markets and wholesale halls, cattle manure, and waste from slaughterhouses are brought to our facility.
The biogas produced through anaerobic digestion is used in a cogeneration unit to generate 330 kW of electricity, and the organic solid and liquid fertilizer remaining after biogas production is also utilized.

Wastewater Treatment
The facility established to treat leakage water generated in our storage areas using advanced technology operates with high efficiency, preventing wastewater from harming the environment and contributing to the protection of the ecosystem.
Water originating from domestic waste undergoes advanced treatment stages such as Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) and Nanofiltration (NF). The treated water is delivered to the relevant institutions and utilized in processes such as road washing, in line with our understanding of environmental sustainability.
Thanks to our advanced treatment technologies, we dispose of leachate from regular storage areas without harming the environment and steadfastly pursue our mission of protecting nature.
